Yes I am back after a two months break from blogging. I did mention in my earlier blog to share about my trip to Salzburg. Well, here is it: This was taken in St Stephen's Cathedral in the heart of Vienna. It was a pleasant surprise for Miriam and myself to see the cathedral so well lit only to realise that they were doing some filming inside.
Salzburg is the birth place of Mozart and on our way there we got to see the beautiful Salzkammerger landscape with its mountains and its numerous lakes. However, the must see place is Mozart's birth place. This is the courtyard before we visit the museum in the background. This is located in the Gerreidegasse about 15 minutes on bus from the Central train station. Do join the walking tour which cost around 15 Euro per person. The guide is very knowledgeable and spoke in German and English. This is the internal of St Peter's Abbey Church. Not far form this place is the graveyard where Mozart's sister Nannerl was buried.
Not to be missed is Hohensalzburg Fortress, we have to take a cable car up the fortress. Up at the Fortress you get a panoramic view of Salzburg This is the trolley or cable car thjat we took to go up to the Fortress. Well how we wish we could spend more time in Salzburg. But all good things must come to an end as we only have one day in Salzburg we have to rush back to Vienna because the next day we were flying back home via Zurich.
